Premier Form Tools are specialist cutting tool designers and manufacturers who have been supplying thread milling tools, single point threading inserts, form tools and special inserts to major carbide cutting tool companies for over twenty years. Premier are now using this wealth of cutting tool experience to promote their own range of Tap-X solid carbide thread milling cutters together with a complimentary range of F-Type indexable thread milling inserts and toolholders. Premier also supply GTi SYSTEM single point threading inserts to order, and these too are destined to become a standard stocked range in the near future. Premier are also a distributor for the Simtek range of precision grooving products which offers a tremendous range of tools covering Alpha-Line micro-machining; Delta-Line mini-machining; Eta-Line, Zeta-Line, and Gamma-Line grooving; and Sigma-Line and Sigma-Line M groove milling. Recently, Premier have also added the GT2 Grooving & Turning system to their line up. Premier also offer Up2U, a service for the design and manufacture of special cutting tools in both solid carbide and replaceable insert variations, and insert modifications to customer requirements, knowing that with state of the art CNC machinery, most jobs are within their capability. Premier can modify inserts that you supply, or alternatively supply the tooling complete. It is Premier's policy to provide it's customers with a first class product, available at short lead times, at a reasonable price, and with customer service second to none. With ongoing reinvestment of profits and by making themselves available to a wider audience, Premier will continue to strive to give their customers what they want, when they want it.
A brief history
Premier Form Tools began trading in the spring of 1984 from the back of a small industrial unit in Leafield, Wiltshire with a single Wickman Optical Profile Grinder. Building on a solid base of high quality products, quick deliveries, and first class customer service, managing partner Roger Sprules was soon relocating the company to larger premises in Melksham where he was able to invest in more machinery and equipment. Following further growth, Premier moved into its current purpose build facility in 1997, where the programme of reinvestment still continues.
